Women and domestic violence graph

Did you know that 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime?1

Because even one victim is one too many, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, the parent company of Obagi Medical Products, has pledged to join the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence* (NCADV), in its commitment to eliminate domestic violence through advocacy, support and empowerment.

Valeant’s Take A Stand program will involve donating a portion of every sale of Obagi® and Medicis® products to the NCADV in order to help fund its cause to end domestic violence. With the help of loyal patients, physicians and advocates, the Obagi team, as part of Valeant Pharmaceuticals, hopes to donate $1,000,000 over the course of one year!

We are very proud to support this organization and know you are too. Every time you purchase Obagi products for yourself or as a gift, you are not only helping to achieve healthy, glowing skin, but are also helping us support the victims of domestic abuse. These are gifts that truly give back!

Funds raised support the NCADV in a variety of ways, including:

  • Assisting survivors of violence in gaining and maintaining their freedom from abuse
  • Supporting parents who are fighting to protect their children from an abusive partner or ex-partner with the custody court systems
  • Educating national leaders on the issue of domestic violence and influencing national legislation, national policy and national funding decisions that keep survivors of violence safe

Purchasing Obagi products is not the only way you can make a difference. If you’re looking for more opportunities to participate, sign up to receive our newsletter and be sure to check back often on Valeant’s Take A Stand page for updated information, opportunities to get involved, and to learn about how our fans and customers are helping to make a difference.

Working together, we can help bring an end to the cycle of violence.
