Obagi Ambassador Michelle’s Inspiring Life Transformation

Michelle M. Obagi April Ambassador, Product Testimonial

Aging gracefully is as much about a can-do attitude as it is about taking care of our body, mind, and skin. That’s why we’re so excited to announce the newest face of Obagi, Michelle Milionis. After 18 years as a preschool teacher, Michelle made a bold and inspiring decision to become a police officer. That’s no small accomplishment! The transformation allowed her to see herself in a new light and to make a change in the appearance of her skin as well.

About Michelle:
I have been married for 23 years and I have an adult daughter who lives at home and two teenage sons. I sometimes pull a “hookie” day for the kids and take them to the beach or some place fun for the day. I call them “adventures” which sometimes end up not going as planned but we laugh about it later. Sometimes following the GPS for the shortest or alternate route is not always good. I spend time at the gym mostly lifting weights and I do some cardio. I mainly focus on being strong as it is a benefit with my job. I have competed in sprint triathlons and half marathons. I get bored easily so I always have to have a goal to reach to keep me focused.

My Obagi Story:
Exactly one year ago, at the age of 43, I went from being a preschool teacher of 18 years to a police officer. It has been one of the toughest years I can remember with the testing and training, but I did it. It is not uncommon in this field to see men in their 40’s change their career path but it is almost unheard of for a woman to become a police officer in her 40’s. About that same time I took a good look at the sun damage and wrinkles beginning to form on my face and decided I needed new skin to go along with the new job. I have been using Obagi-C Rx system for approximately 2 months and I cannot believe the difference in my skin. My husband cannot believe the difference and my squad mates don’t believe me when I tell them my age. My skin glows and the sun spots are gone.* I used the Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 last summer during the long, hot, 10-hour shifts and it has kept the sun spots from coming back. I will not use anything else from now on but Obagi.

We also asked Michelle some fun questions to get to know her better.

Tell us a fun fact about you:
I LOVE to watch NASCAR!! I have been to a couple of races and there is something about the sound of the engines, the smell of the fuel and the control the drivers have of the car at 180 mph. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is my driver.

What would you consider your biggest achievement?
Some of my greatest achievements [are that I was] awarded scholarships for playing basketball at the collegiate level, raising three amazing children, being married for 23 years, [and] teaching pre-K for 20 years then becoming a police officer.

Important Safety Information for C-Clarifying Serum and C-Therapy Night Cream

People with prior history of sensitivity or allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients should not use it. The safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 years and under) has not been established.

Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, or lips. In case of accidental contact, patient should rinse eyes, nose, mouth, or lips with water and contact physician.

Sunscreen use is an essential aspect of hydroquinone therapy because even minimal sunlight exposure sustains melanocytic activity.

Contains sodium metabisulfite, a sulfite that may cause allergic-type reactions including anaphylactic symptoms and life-threatening or less severe asthmatic episodes in certain susceptible people. The overall prevalence of sulfite sensitivity in the general population is unknown and probably low. Sulfite sensitivity is seen more frequently in asthmatic than in nonasthmatic people.

Treatment should be limited to relatively small areas of the body at one time since some patients experience a transient skin reddening and a mild burning sensation, which does not preclude treatment.

Pregnancy Category C: Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with topical hydroquinone. It is also not known whether hydroquinone can cause fetal harm when used topically on a pregnant woman or affect reproductive capacity. It is not known to what degree, if any, topical hydroquinone is absorbed systemically. Topical hydroquinone should be used on pregnant women only when clearly indicated.

Nursing Mothers: It is not known whether topical hydroquinone is absorbed or excreted in human milk. Caution is advised when topical hydroquinone is used by a nursing mother.

Pediatric Usage: Safety and effectiveness in children below the age of 12 years have not been established.
