Obagi Blue Peels are in-office facial chemical peel procedures performed by your skin care professional.
The procedure takes less than an hour and does not usually require sedation. Your skin care professional will apply the Blue Peel typically to your face and neck.
A mild burning sensation will occur that generally lasts only a few minutes. Then you may experience a bluish tint to your skin that usually washes off in 12 to 24 hours. Your skin care professional will advise you on how many peels are needed to give you the desired result.
Depending on the strength and depth of the peel, you will experience light swelling following the procedure. Within 2 to 3 days, your skin will begin to peel. This peeling continues over the next several days. By Days 7 to 10, your skin should be healed.

The Importance of Post-peel Care
After a treatment with Blue Peel RADIANCE, you will need to care for your skin to maximize and maintain results. The single most important thing to remember after any chemical peel is to wear non-chemical sun protection (SPF 30 or higher) at all times. Obagi recommends Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 or Obagi Nu-Derm® Physical UV Block SPF 32. Be sure to ask your aesthetic physician about these products.
Obagi has developed an After-care Card especially for you. Your aesthetic physician or aesthetician should provide this card to you after a peel. For your convenience, you may also download the After-care Card below.
