As you begin using the Condition & Enhance System, your skin will undergo 4 phases of transformation.

Phase 1: Out With the Old (Weeks 1-6)

Before you begin using the Condition & Enhance System, you should talk with your dermatologist or plastic surgeon about the use of the system with the facial procedure you have chosen. It is important that you establish a relationship with a skin care professional you trust in order to enjoy the best results of your treatments along with the Condition & Enhance System and maintain the health and appearance of your skin year after year.
 
The Condition & Enhance System for nonsurgical procedures, as well as for surgical procedures, contains a series of steps for your morning and evening applications. Your skin care professional will provide clinical recommendations as to which system you should use and what your morning and evening regimens should include. Protocol for Nonsurgical Procedures
Your skin care professional will provide clinical recommendations as to what your morning and evening regimens should include. The following is an example:

Tips for Use
It is important to use the system daily, as prescribed, in order for the skin to acclimate and reduce potential irritation.
  • For excessive dryness, you may apply Obagi Action® moisturizer in the morning and/or evening after all other products, but prior to Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35. However, Action should be used sparingly and only as needed as it can slow the penetration of the other products and delay results.
  • For red, sensitive, itchy areas, you may apply Obagi Tolereen® (0.5% hydrocortisone cream) in the morning and/or evening after all other products, but prior to Action and Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35.
  • Avoid sensitive areas around the nose and mouth. Keep a cotton ball handy after applying Toner. Once all other products (except sunscreen) have been applied, use the cotton ball to gently wipe the corners of the nose, mouth, and any other areas that are typically sensitive. This will dilute the product around those areas and minimize irritation.
  • When treating the face and neck, remember to only feather the products down from the face onto the neck, as the skin on the neck is more sensitive than the face, due to thinner skin and fewer oil glands.
  • For those days when lots of peeling has occurred, stand in the shower facing the shower jet with lukewarm water on a gentle setting. While under the jet, gently rub the face in a circular motion USING FINGERTIPS ONLY (no washcloths, etc.), especially around the mouth, nose, and chin. After a few seconds, the skin will be gently exfoliated.
  • High-quality mineral makeup is great for toning down redness in the first few weeks. Many patients often forego using foundation and continue using a light mineral powder makeup or even no makeup at all once they've adjusted to the system.

Can the Condition & Enhance System be used during pregnancy?
 
Can the Condition & Enhance System be used if I will be in the sun (ie, at sporting events or at the beach)?
Keeping in mind that extended sun exposure damages the skin, it is suggested that you avoid prolonged sun exposure without protection. While on the system, you can participate in normal outdoor activity. However, your skin may be sensitive to the sun and heat. It is very important to always wear a sunscreen, like Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35 and/or Physical UV Block SPF 32 in the Condition & Enhance System, and reapply sun protection every few hours while exposed to the sun.

When used as a system, the prescription-strength ingredients collaborate with your procedure results to effectively balance the pH level of your skin and penetrate into the layers of your skin for superior results.
